Support

A person answers.

Refetch is made by one developer, and support is the same person. Email is the whole system: no ticket portal, no chatbot.

Email support

The button above opens your mail client with the subject line [refetch app] already filled in, which is how support mail is sorted from everything else. If you write from another client, please keep that subject.

Before you write

These are the questions that come up most, with the answers that usually resolve them.

I bought Refetch. Where is my license key?

In the receipt email from Lemon Squeezy, the merchant of record. If you cannot find it, sign in at Lemon Squeezy's My Orders with the email address you bought with, and it is listed there. Refetch itself never sees your purchase details.

The app says my license is in use on 3 Macs.

On a Mac you no longer use, open Settings, then License, and choose Deactivate this Mac. That frees the seat. If you cannot reach that Mac any more, email and it will be reset for you.

My trial ended and I want my captures out.

You already have them. An unlicensed Refetch is read-only, never locked: search, copy and export all keep working. Settings, then Data, then Export JSON.

The opening gesture does not work.

If you chose Shift twice, macOS requires Input Monitoring permission and a fresh app process after granting it; onboarding offers a restart. Your recorded keyboard shortcut stays available as the fallback either way. If you chose a shortcut and it does nothing, another app may already own that combination.

Reporting a bug

The most useful report has three things:

  1. What you did, step by step.
  2. What you expected, and what happened instead.
  3. Your macOS version and the Refetch version, from Refetch, then About Refetch.

Screenshots help. So does telling me if it happens every time or only sometimes.

Refunds

If Refetch is not for you, email within 30 days of purchase and you will be refunded. No form, no reason required.
